7.1 Medical Advice

The course has been co‑designed with healthcare professionals, families, and educators to provide general guidance and education. It is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always speak to a qualified healthcare professional or the child’s diabetes team for personalised advice.

7.2 Emergencies

If a child or young person becomes unwell or you are concerned about their health, seek immediate help from a healthcare professional or emergency services. This platform does not provide real‑time medical support.

7.3 Keeping Information Up to Date

Medical knowledge changes over time. Please check any information you use against current clinical guidance and the advice of the child’s healthcare team.

7.4 Confidentiality and Privacy

If personal or health‑related information is shared during the course, please treat it as confidential. Do not share it outside the learning environment. All users should follow relevant data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

7.5 Staying Safe Online

Please make sure your device and internet connection are secure. Using strong passwords and up‑to‑date security software helps protect your information.
